Weekend Meditation Retreat with Kelsang Shechog

ESCAPE THE STRESS and busyness of life and discover the peace of meditation for yourself. Be guided through simple meditations that relax the mind and body, leading to a deep experience of inner peace and contentment. This retreat is suitable for everyone, and provides an excellent introduction to meditation as well as an opportunity to improve our meditation skills.

THE COURSE BEGINS with supper at 6.30pm on the Friday night and finishes with Iunch on Sunday. There are plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind in the beautiful gardens and various nature walks in the forest. This retreat is catered with delicious vegetarian food, and there is a range of accommodation options. All you need to do is to relax and enjoy yourself. Booking is essential – please book early to ensure a place.

Our guided retreat will be taught by Buddhist nun Kelsang Shechog, the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington. Shechog has spent many years developing Kadampa Meditation Centres where she has inspired many people through her kindness and loving example.  Shechog is much loved for her gentle manner, inner strength and clear, skillful teachings.
