4 Day Buddhist Insight Meditation Retreat : Resting in Wholeness led by Hugh Tennent and Stephen Archer

The purpose of mindfulness meditation is to magnify well-being. Its practice helps us to recognise, and then be guided and healed by that within ourselves which is already whole and peaceful, free and unobscured.

On this retreat we will create an environment of silence and tranquility in order to help everyone relax and “come home” to themselves in a natural and tender way.

Wisdom and Compassion for the Engaged Heart

A meditation retreat focussing on socially engaged buddhism with Eric Kolvig.

The mercy of the East, Gary Snyder once wrote, has been individual insight into the self/void. The mercy of the West has been social justice. We need both. Wherever suffering is, there our work is. We liberate our own hearts by uprooting from them the toxins of greed, hatred, and ignorance. We liberate our world by uprooting those same toxins embodied in what Martin Luther King called “the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism.”
